The Northwest PULSE Community pleased to host a virtual workshop focused on issues of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Science Education! It will be Thursday (May 5) from 9:00-11:00 AM PDT. The Zoom information is below,

The workshop will focus on two items, H19 and H21, from the PULSE Snapshot Rubric that address DEI issues in science education. Prior to the workshop, please do the following:
- Read the instructions for the PULSE Snapshot and DEI Rubrics (attached)
- Read the context and questions for Snapshot items H19 and H21 (The Snapshot Rubric is attached.).
- Find the land acknowledgment for your institution or geographical region and be prepared to share it as part of introductions in the breakout rooms.
- Consider the question: What do you think Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) means in terms of biology education in a maximum of 3-5 words? We will ask this question at the start of the workshop.
