Thanks to all of our participants in the Spring 2021 Virtual Meeting.

All registrants will receive an email with a hyperlink to the meeting materials.  The link will not be posted here - it is only available to those who have registered.

The Partnership for Undergraduate Life Sciences Education (PULSE) will be facilitating a virtual multi-day regional workshop on May 21, May 24, and May 27 supporting departmental change initiatives. We invite a team from your institution to participate in this opportunity for strategic planning and networking designed to help you and your colleagues meet the challenges posed in the 2011 report, Vision and Change in Undergraduate Biology Education: A Call to Action

To gain the most from this workshop, we encourage interested departments to send a team of two or three people, if possible. We recommend teams that comprised of the department chair, another faculty member in the department, and a third person (e.g. tenure-track or adjunct faculty member, or administrator such as a dean who oversees your Life Science Department).

This workshop will provide opportunities to:

  • assess the current alignment of your curriculum with Vision and Change

  • engage with the PULSE Rubrics to identify program strengths and identify areas that need attention

  • learn about the strategies used by departments that have successfully implemented change initiatives

  • learn about a PULSE programs and resources for initiating and sustaining change

  • brainstorm within your team and with other teams to develop a strategic plan for change

Registration is now closed.

Prior to the meeting, your departmental team will need to do a small amount of pre-workshop work, and we will provide you with details after you register.
