Southeast Region (SERP)

The SERP region includes over 800 institutions accredited by SACS-COC.

SERP timeline

Since 2014, SERP has hosted three SERP Institutes (3-4 days) and one SERP Workshop (1.5 days), both in-person and virtual. SERP institutes/workshop focus on: 1) ensuring participation of a range of institution types, 2) helping faculty teams develop shared reform language, diagnose departmental conditions, and plan coordinated action, and 3) promoting collaboration and networking opportunities at the institute/workshop and at follow-up meetings (e.g., ASB). Institutional teams include 3-4 people and must include an upper-level administrator in addition to department faculty. Participant institutions typically showcase their progress during poster sessions and symposia at meetings (e.g., ASB) in the year following each SERP Institute/Workshop.
